Get Ready Queensland - Cyclone preparedness
Get Ready Queensland is providing information to Queenslanders potentially in the path of Cyclone Alfred. The latest weather updates, warnings and information to prepare is available at this link: Understand your risk and find out how you can prepare.
You can also follow Get Ready Queensland on Facebook for the latest information.
The Queensland Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction Framework and Toolkit includes tips, resources, and tools to enable people living with disability, their family, carers and people who work in the community sector to take action in becoming disaster resilient.
The toolkit includes the person-centred emergency plan (P-CEP) that helps to ensure the health and safety supports people need during an emergency are met.
The P-CEP workbook is a practical conversation guide and planning tool for use by people with disability to tailor their emergency preparedness to their individual support needs.

If you are a disability service provider, review your business continuity plan to ensure you and your staff are aware of how to prepare for an emergency. This includes assessing risk to clients and staff and ensuring their safety, and planning for service continuity in the event of an emergency.
