Medicare Mental Health Hub (satellite) for Mount Isa
The Western Queensland Primary Health Network is collaborating with stakeholders in the Mount Isa and surrounding communities to establish the Medicare Mental Health Hub (satellite), a significant initiative aimed at improving mental health services in Mount Isa and surrounding areas.
Community Consultation will begin 2 September 2024, giving an opportunity for community members to share their views, concerns, and suggestions regarding the new mental health hub (satellite).
The Hub will offer free, high-quality mental health information, support, and care in a safe and welcoming environment, without the need for appointments.
Community consultations will be integral in shaping the services to meet local needs, and multiple feedback channels available for community input.
