A new initiative, Weathering Well has been launched to help start conversations about mental health and encourage people to seek help.

Very thankful for the support from Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, Agriculture Minister David Littleproud and Rural Health Minister Bridget McKenzie in launching Weathering Well on Friday 8th March.

Weathering Well combines the latest counselling techniques packaged in a digital form that locals can employ with their fellow community members without needing conventional, clinical training. This will come in the form of a mobile app, currently in Beta testing.

WQPHN CEO Stuart Gordon says "The digital tool is just the tip of the iceberg, there's so much more happening underneath the tech, the potential scale and reach of this project is immense in terms of service delivery and support for rural communities."

"Our role is to make sure graziers are in a good place mentally to continue rebuilding their businesses for themselves, their families, their workers and their communities that rely on them, but also to help put them in a position to enjoy the good times when they come."
